About your online reservation
How can I book a car on Hertz.com.cy?

Start by filing in the required information in the "Make a Reservation" box found in the home page. These are:

• Pick-up and return date and time.
• The pick-up Hertz location. If the return location is different, please select the “I am returning this vehicle to a different location” tick box.
• The type of car you’d like to rent.
• The number of your Frequent Traveler card or, if you have, a promotional card.

On the second step, choose your preferred vehicle category and payment method and complete your reservation by filling in the driver's data that will be requested. 

Can I choose a particular car brand or model?

Bookings are subject to a specific car group, which includes several different car models with similar features. You can ask for a specific model during the pick-up, whether it is available.

What is the minimum/maximum period for a car rental on hertz.com.cy?

The minimum period for a car rental is 30 min and the maximum is thirty (30) days.

Which cards are accepted?

Visa, Mastercard and American Express debit and credit cards are accepted. We do not accept prepaid cards.

Will I receive a confirmation for my reservation?

Upon succesfull completion of your reservation, you will receive a confirmation email on the address you provided during your reservation.

Can I change my reservation? Is there a charge?

You can only change your reservation’s pick up and drop off date, time and location, assuming the change concerns a location in the same city – up to 2 hours before the pick-up time you have put on your reservation. To make a modification in your reservation, click on the “Modify / Cancel” tab, found in the top menu of the homepage and insert the reservation’s reference number (e.g. ABCD01012001) and the driver’s surname.

Please note that changes to the reservation are subject to a recalculation of the reservation’s cost, based on the availability and prices at the time the change is made.

For on-request reservations, you can only modify the drop off/pick-up location assuming the change concerns a location in the same city.

You cannot modify the selected vehicle category or the driver’s data. For these cases please cancel the reservation and make a new one. 

What happens if I cancel my reservation? Is there a charge?

Pre-paid reservation: A full refund will be made to the credit card used for the pre-paid reservation as long as the cancellation is made at least 48 hours prior to the date and time of pick-up. If you fail to cancel within this time limit, Hertz will refund the reservation amount to the credit/debit card used for the booking, reduced by the late cancellation fee of €40 plus VAT. 

In case the reservation is made within 48 hours from the pick-up date and then cancelled, the prepaid amount will be refunded on your card minus the late cancellation fee of €40+VAT.
If you pay at location cancellation is free until the time of pick-up. 

If during the pick-up of the car, the driver does not meet the requirements mentioned in the "DRIVER'S QUALIFICATION" section, the reservation is cancelled. For prepaid reservations, Hertz will refund the reservation amount to the credit/debit card used for the booking, reduced by the late cancellation fee of €40 plus VAT. For pay at location reservation there will be no late cancellation fee.

What happens if I do not show up on the specified pick-up date and time? Is there a charge?

In case you do not show-up on the pick-up time that you provided during your reservation, with no prior written notification, Autohellas-Hertz has the right to cancel your booking after the end of a 29 minutes grace period and charge a no-show fee. For both prepaid and non prepaid reservations, your card will be refunded the amount of the reservation deducted by the no-show fee, of € 77 plus VAT. In both cases, the refund will be completed within two (2) working days.

What is "On Request" Booking?

Reservations for groups that are "On Request" , must first be checked by our Reservation Center in accordance with the booking details you entered.
