Terms and Conditions of Rental

Rates
All rates quoted are in Euro (�) and are inclusive of Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Tax. Car Deliveries and / or Returns from / to Larnaca or Paphos Airports are subject to 19 euros Service Fee. This is a one � time charge and covers both car delivery and return. One � way rentals are subject to an additional charge of 25 euros per rental.

Rentals
Minimum rental period is 24 hours. Free delivery and collection within town limits is included in the price quoted. Delivery and/or collection of the vehicle to/from remote areas (Troodos mountains, Polis/Latsi, Pissouri) are subject to �19.00 delivery/collection charge each way (incl. VAT).

Driver
Drivers must be in possession of a valid national driver's licence (held for a minimum of twelve months) and a valid passport. Minimum rental age is 25.

Cars
Reservations are only accepted by car group and not by car model. Specific car models are subject to availability at the time of pick up.

Payment
Hertz can accept either cash or a valid credit card as a form of payment at the time of rental. In the case of a payment in cash a deposit of €500 is required.

Petrol
Petrol is not included in the quoted price and must be paid in advance by the renter at the time of rental. All Hertz vehicles are rented with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank or a local refuelling charge will apply.

Fuel Purchase Option (FPO)
For convenience, you may purchase a tank of fuel from Hertz at the time of rental at a price that is competitive with local fuel stations. This method eliminates the need for you to refill the tank before returning. Please be aware that we are unable to give a refund for unused fuel.

Optional Services
Baby seats are available upon request at an additional charge of €3.93 per day, per seat.

Additional drivers may obtain the right to drive the Hertz vehicle at an extra charge of €3.93 per day, per additional driver. Drivers unauthorized by Hertz are not covered by any insurance scheme and the driver will be liable for any damages caused to either the Hertz vehicle or third parties.

Insurance Options

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
This option is always included in the quoted rate. By this option you are relieved of the financial responsibility for loss or damage to the Hertz vehicle and its parts or accessories except by or following theft, attempted theft or vandalism over and above the first €590 for car groups A, B, €980 for car groups C, D, E, F, S, €1200 for car groups G, H, J, K, L and €1540 for car group M. CDW does not cover damages for the tyres, windscreen and oil sump of the vehicle. Liability to the above parts of the vehicle can be waived by accepting the Additional Damage Waiver (ADW).

Additional Damage Waiver (ADW)
Damage liability for the tyres, windscreen, and oil sump of the Hertz vehicle can be waived if you choose to accept this service. The above parts of the vehicle are not covered if you only select the CDW option. If the option of Additional Damage Waiver is not taken up, the renter must accept responsibility for the costs or repairing or replacing damaged tyres, windscreen and oil sump of the vehicle.

Super Collision Damage Waiver (SDW)
If you choose to accept this option, together with the CDW, you will reduce the financial responsibility for loss or damage to the Hertz vehicle and its parts or accessories except by or following theft, attempted theft or vandalism, to €90 for car groups A, B, €140 for car groups C, D, E, F, S, €190 for car groups G, H, J, K, L and €340 for car group M. SDW does not cover damages for the tyres, windscreen and oil sump of the vehicle.

Theft Protection (TP)
If you choose to accept the Theft Protection option, it will relieve you of the financial responsibility for the loss of or damage to the Hertz vehicle by or following theft, attempted theft or vandalism. The cover is also extended to the parts and accessories of the vehicle. If a Hertz vehicle happens to be stolen or vandalized during your rental period and you have not taken Theft Protection, you will be responsible for the costs of its repair or replacement.

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
One of the most important things to consider when taking out insurance is your personal cover. Personal Accident Insurance is a service, which has been designed to meet this need. The cover and benefits provided by this option are outlined below, but please note that they are subject to the provisions, limitations and exceptions of the Personal Insurance policy. The policy covers loss of life or total disablement of the Hertz vehicles authorized driver caused directly by an accident whilst driving the Hertz vehicle, up to €17,000. You will also be covered for expenses of up to €420 per rented vehicle, for medical treatment resulting directly from an accident in which the Hertz vehicle is involved.
